Our students are provided with an adequate environment to become acquainted with the Spanish language within the Colombian culture, and more specifically, in the culture of the Coffee Region. This, through complementary experiential activities in the University campus and in the region, which is aligned with the objectives of the course and with the students’ preferences and needs.

Within the UAM® campus, Spanish as a Foreign Language students have the possibility of participating in cooking and dance classes, sports practice, attending to the gym, among other activities. Likewise, as part of their classes, they visit different historical and representative city landmarks.

Extracurricular activities on Campus at UAM

  • Students have the opportunity to participate in: conversation club, cultural activities, film-forums, music classes (Guitar), contemporary dance, Latin rhythms and folklore, basic photography classes, crafts workshop, painting, wood carving, preparation of aesthetic elements with recyclable material, etc., and integration activities with foreign students.

  • Likewise, students can participate in culinary workshops where they can learn about gastronomy and local specialties in a fun way by discovering the jargon of the region's “chefs” and at the same time being able to apply their linguistic knowledge learned in class.
